Fazia apenas 10 dias que Christine Fensome, 54 anos, estava casada com Andy Bennetts, 58 anos, quando uma tragédia fez com que ele ficasse viúvo na viagem de lua de mel. Os dois foram comemorar o casamento em uma das praias do México e decidiram jantar. Pediram o cardápio e ela escolheu um peixe. No dia seguinte, ela estava morta.

Segundo o irmão de Christine, James Bowyer, 49, os médicos disseram à família que ela foi contaminada com uma toxina de um plâncton. “Não há como detectar isso e não há tratamento efetivo. Dessa forma, não teria como Christine ter sobrevivido”, contou James ao The Sun.

Christine deixou, além do novo marido, três filhos. “Ela amava a vida. Tentou ser pai e mãe para gente. Não podemos ficar em luto porque não sabemos qual a causa ou como ela morreu de verdade”, disse uma das filhas. “Ela não teve o final que mereceu pelo que deu em vida. Agora, vai ter um funeral que mereça”, completou.
